Christenings
Being christened is an exciting start to a journey of faith, no matter what age you are. It is a recognition of God's love for all God's children and a joyful time for family, friends and the church.
At St Nicholas' Church, christenings usually take place on a Sunday afternoon at 12.30pm, though alternatives are possible. A date will be arranged to suit you and your family. The priest taking the service will arrange to visit you, and will normally meet with parents and godparents to talk through the service.
You can find out more information about christenings, including what happens in the service, choosing godparents, advice on christening gifts and much more on the Church of England's Christening Website.
We would be very happy to hear from you to help plan this special day in the life of your family. If you would like to arrange a christening at St Nicholas' Church, email wardens@stnicholasnewchurch.com
